Stick to the basics, allow the kids to have fun.
No climbing on or hanging on poles or nets.
Please advise parents to remain off the playing surface during practice and games.
A rotation of clockwise will be used to ensure equal playing time.
Each player must rotate through all 6 positions before rotating out. Extra players will rotate into the game at the serving position.
No jewelry to be worn: i.e....earrings, bobby pins, and hard headbands.
In the case of an injury, instruct the players and all other participants to sit down.
The referees are in charge of the matches. Wait until after the match if you have any questions about a call or ruling.
Each player must wear the assigned uniform to all matches.
Players and spectators behaving in a manner that is deemed inappropriate, by referees or Perry Recreation staff, will be removed from the facility.

Basic Rules and Regulations

Six players from each team will be on the playing surface at all times during the match. There will be 3 in the back row and 3 in the front row.

Matches will consist of best 2 out of 3 games. Games will be played to 25 utilizing the rally scoring system. There will be a point scored on every serve of the ball, regardless of whether the team served or not. Teams must win by 2 points, or the first team to 29 points wins.

Services lines are as follows: 3^rd & 4^th graders serve underhand behind the 15' line. 5^th & 6^th graders serve underhand behind the 24' line. Overhand "Open Handed" serving is only permitted behind the 30' (End) line. Each player may serve a maximum of four consecutive points. When this occurs, the next person in the rotation will take over the service. Players will receive one fault on their first service, in each rotation.

A served ball may come in contact with the net and play will resume.

Maximum of 3 hits per side, with no one person contacting the ball in consecutive hits (A block is not considered a hit).

A ball landing on a line is good.

If two or more players strike the ball simultaneously, it is considered one play and the two players may not strike the ball on the next play.

If a player from Team A hits the ball and it touches the ceiling, it is still playable-As long as Team A has not exceeded their 3 hits. If the ball crosses the net and hit the ceiling on Team B's side, it is a side out and a point for Team B.

Basic Violations

Coming in contact with a line during the service.

Failing to serve the ball over the net after the first fault will result in a side out and a point for the other team.

Illegal hits such as (carrying, palming, throwing etc...)

Touching of the net at anytime during a play.

Reaching over and or under the net during a play.

Failure to follow the correct service order.
